We’ve been playing catch up for July and August, but this month we will be making these flying geese blocks. Bring your fabric and your machine and all your cutting and piecing supplies. You can choose to use just 2 fabrics, or 4 like I show in the picture above. See you on Thursday!

Block of the Month
If you are looking for some more opportunities for quilting, I came across a fun Block of the Month that is going on right now. It actually started in Sept 2011 and runs through Oct 2012, but you can start anytime you want. For more info, check out the following link:

In March we will be learning about hand piecing and drafting our own blocks using freezer paper templates.

We learned how to do English Paper Piecing in February. Everyone is making blocks that will look like this:
I used various blacks/whites/greys for the background. Most people are using just one background color.
